A message to our fantastic community, our invaluable clients, our strong partners, & our dear friends…

As businesses move to implement remote working & temporarily closures and communities across the nation hunker down—be they self-quarantined, under official “shelter in place” ordinances, or simply staying at home to protect those at-risk in our society—our hearts and thoughts go out to all those being impacted by this unprecedented event.

What’s remained the same:

Era remains deeply committed to our team, our clients, and our mission, and will—as always—continue to provide industry-best commercial building contracting and consulting services to our community. This will include scheduled energy-related services, system maintenance, retrofit/replacement projects, and 24/7 emergency service for our current and future clients in need of urgent support in Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical, & Building Automation.

What’s changed:

While priority service has always been provided to era’s service agreement clients of all types, further priority will be shifted to those service- and non-service-agreement facilities (a) providing critical healthcare services to the community’s high-risk population, (b) responsible for the safe housing or care of our higher-risk community members, and (c) multifamily properties housing 200 or more residents as “shelter in place“ recommendations continue.

During these critical times, all clients will have the option to defer non-essential scheduled maintenance services to minimize the risk of additional personnel presence on-site—at the time of scheduling or by contacting our administrative team in advance—and extend their service agreement by the period of the deferral with no questions & no charge.

As recommended by State and Federal officials, personal distancing will be practiced wherever possible. As a result, era will be suspending all non-essential Customer Service Representative visits and will perform essential business-related functions remotely wherever possible. Mechanical and other service visits requiring physical presence will continue as usual, and we strongly encourage our team and our clients to make use of our digital meeting rooms to maintain the face-to-face personal level of service which we hold so dear.

All era building solutions administrative team members will continue to work their regular hours, but have been empowered to work from home and encouraged to prioritize family as-needed.

Looking forward…

As we make our way through these unsettling times, we welcome this opportunity to work together to protect our community and its members whom we all hold dear. We are proud to serve and be of service, and grateful to all taking small steps to do the same and—of course—to the medical, emergency, and other community service members who are doing so much more.

Yours in service,

era building solutions
